About Baan Manao

How a family home became a traveller's refuge

Baan Manao began as the home of a Thai family who spent years living beside the road between Nuea Khlong and Krabi town. The house sat on a quiet lane off Maharat Road, and the family noticed that passengers arriving on late flights had very few places to stop, wash and sleep before moving on.

In 2017 the family converted the ground floor into a small number of rooms and began welcoming guests on a word-of-mouth basis. The rooms were kept simple: clean linen, a rainfall shower, tea and coffee on the tray. The airport was close. The street was calm. Guests left feeling they had slept in someone's home rather than passed through a transit hotel.

Today Baan Manao offers three types of stay — a daytime rest room, an overnight option and a longer suite for families — while keeping the same approach: thoughtful preparation, an unhurried welcome and a car ready when you need to leave.

What We Stand For

The values behind every stay

Genuine Care

We treat guests the way a considerate host would treat a visitor in their own home — attentive without being intrusive, helpful without being pushy.

Simplicity First

A clean room, a warm shower and a quiet corner matter more to a tired traveller than extra services they did not ask for. We keep things clear and uncluttered.

Honest Pricing

The price you see covers what we described. There are no surprise charges at checkout — only clear room rates and an itemised note if you add anything extra.

A guesthouse shaped by Krabi's pace

Krabi is a province defined by water and limestone, and by the particular rhythm of a busy regional airport surrounded by slow countryside. Travellers pass through constantly — some heading to Ao Nang or Koh Lanta, others connecting onward to Bangkok or beyond. Between flights, many find themselves with hours to fill and no suitable place to rest.

Baan Manao sits on Maharat Road in Nuea Khlong sub-district, close enough to the terminal to make the shuttle ride feel short, and far enough from the main tourist strip to stay quiet. The rooms face a small garden rather than a busy road. The setting is deliberate: calm is not marketed here; it simply comes with the address.

The team speaks Thai and English and has working knowledge of the Krabi airport timetable. If your connection is delayed, disrupted or rerouted, we can help you work through the options quietly. That practical local knowledge, kept updated through daily experience, is part of what makes staying here different from booking a chain hotel close to the terminal.
